Oracle Sqlldr Primer

As an Oracle professional for over 10 years I have had many opportunities to improve process and workflow using Oracle tools. This blog will deal with the Oracle database tool sqlldr. This command line tool allows great functionality when working with files and the Oracle database.

Sqlldr allows you to perform large loads into an Oracle database using many different file formats and different types of controls. There are many features and abilities of sqlldr that I will discuss in this blog.

If you are an Oracle professional and have not tried the sqlldr utility, you will be amazed at the easy of use this tool can provided and the gains in performance that you can accomplish by using this utility.
